Cynthia McCranieCYNTHIA MCCRANIE studied ballet with Dulce Anaya (Ballerina National Ballet de Cuba & American Ballet Theatre), Linda Caddell Chase, and Julia Tanner (member of Atlanta Civic Ballet, origin of the Atlanta Ballet) as a child in south Georgia. She left high school a year early to attend Birmingham-Southern College, where she earned her BA in Dance.

Some of the most noteworthy instructors that Miss Cynthia has studied with are: Dame Sonia Arova (Internationally known ballerina, and partner to Erick Bruhn and Rudolph Nureyev), Mira Popovich (Director of Dance Department at Birmingham-Southern College & Yugoslavia State Ballet Prima Ballerina), Karena Brock (American Ballet Theatre soloist for 10 years), Terrell Paulk (National Ballet of Canada, Washington Ballet, & Atlanta Ballet soloist and Chicago Dance Master Instructor) and Ruth Mitchell (Atlanta's 2007 GAELA Awardee & legendary founder of Ruth Mitchell School of Dance and Company.) Additionally, Cynthia has danced professionally with the Savannah Ballet, the Georgia Ballet, and Ruth Mitchell’s Professional Touring Ensemble & Company.

Cynthia has been a ballet and dance teacher for over 31 years. Her attention to detail and expertise has made her a sought after instructor. She joyfully shares her passion for classical ballet with each and every student who takes her class.
